Our Focus

The focus of all of our ministries is to teach the truths of Jesus Christ. Whether it is comforting someone who is hurting, or teaching a children's class. The focus will be on God and His Holy Word.

Truth

A solid foundation on the Word of God is essential to every Christian's life. This is the foundation of every doctrine and practices of Tabernacle Baptist Church. The philosophies of the world have invaded our churches over the last 100 years. We stay with the old foundations of God's Word. By the power of God we desire to stay on the old paths of the Bible.

"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." - Jeremiah 6:16

Love

The Bible tells us in I Corinthians 13 that if we live a life without charity we are nothing. At Tabernacle Baptist Church we strive to instill in everyone a deep love for God. The fruit of this deep love for God will be a deep and miraculous love for others. Jesus clearly teaches this Biblical principal in Matt. 22:37-39, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." This love does not excuse sin, but will drive a deep compassion to see everyone have victory.

Service

The will of God for every Christian is to serve Him. Romans 12:1-2 clearly teaches us the principal of surrender and service to Christ. At Tabernacle Baptist Church there is a place for everyone to serve based upon the gifts that God has given them. With every ministry of the Lord there are requirements that God makes of us. We strive to work together to bring the Gospel to our community through personal evangelism and outreach ministries. We get excited about seeing souls saved! Please come and labor with us to evangelize the world one person at a time.

Our Ministries

All of our ministries have an emphasis on spiritual growth and discipleship. It is our goal to see all people "grow in grace . . ." - 2 Pet. 3:18

Military Ministry

Here at Ft. Hood, TX we see the great needs of our military personnel on a daily basis. Currently we have resources to be help and support our countries military personnel. With the alarming growth of PTSD and suicide, we have trained counselors available to help those in need. We currently have a ministry to our single soldiers by providing a Sunday meal for them every week after the morning service. This helps us build relationships, and gives them a family like support system.

Soul-Winning

If we are to be a healthy NT church then we must fulfill the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ in Mat. 28. We have regular soul-winning times every week to share the Gospel with the lost. It is our desire to train all of our members to be soul-winners through regular training and encouragement.

Music Ministry

God speaks much in His Word about the importance of music. At TBC we not only see the importance of music, but also the right kind of music. Our goal is to praise and worship God with music that honors Him. We have been blessed with a wonderful choir, and many who have instrumental and vocal gifts. Please come and be a part of our Worship service.

Bus Ministry

Don"t have a ride to church? No problem! We have a 70 passenger bus ,as well as a 15 passenger van that picks up throughout southern Killeen. We pickup children, teens and adults. If you need a ride give us a call at 254-554-2920.

Sunday School for All Ages

It is our goal to meet the spiritual needs of all people. We have Sunday School classes for all ages of children, and also an exciting class for adults. This is a time of in depth study of God's Word that is balanced. You will find encouragement for the senior saint as well as the newly saved Christian .The Lord wishes for you to receive a blessing, and the structure of these classes enables that to take place.

Youth Ministry

In our country today it is hard to be a teenager. Our young people are under attack from the Devil, and at TBC we create a safe and spiritually vibrant place for them to grow. We have regular youth activities and practical Sunday school lessons to help our teens grow. The goal of our youth ministry is to see all young people serve the Lord with their life.
